Hi

Some good news. There's been progress. First, 5 days ago Norbert provided a
work around. Second, yesterday Akira and Luigi updated the runscript DLL to
get the long name by itself. Yihui has thanked Norbert, Akira and Luigi for
this. And as a Quarto user (although on Linux)) I am also grateful.

The problem (on Windows only?) of installing TeXLive to a directory whose
path contains non-ascii characters remains. But the present thread is now
closed as fixed.
