OpenOffice (at least on Linux) is legendary for not supporting OpenType
fonts with Postscript outlines. So while you can use, eg. the latest
Microsoft opentype fonts, which are TrueType internally, you cannot use
Adobe opentype fonts, which are Postscript ones.

See http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Font-FAQ#Supported_Fonts
