[tldoc] troff warning: numeric expression expected (got 't') — processing man page

I'd like to process any man page provided by TeX Live on a separate
folder from the installation

Any metatdata from these files says that this kind of file was
through groff and pdf later on with the driver -Tpdf that was produced
accordingly, e.g., :

Create Date : 2023:02:25 14:03:22+00:00
Creator : groff version 1.22.4
Modify Date : 2023:02:25 14:03:22+00:00
Producer : gropdf version 1.22.4

But when I ran it it kept spitting out on stdout the troff warning: numeric
expression expected (got 't') message

Querying the following on Google `troff warning: numeric expression
expected (got 't')` returns among the top results the following

https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/groff/2008-02/msg00071.html

On that particular issue it was mentioned that this is usually caused
by, among many things that I frankly didn't have the time to go over,
, a `proprietary` code while processing it

Is this the case with any man page provided on TeX Live ? If not, what
would be the correct macros to run it alongside groff successfully so I can
have a pdf :)
