My consideration was indeed that a line break after a hyphen
sometimes is acceptable, sometimes not. Why not have
the line break in `willy-nilly'? But I really don't want to have
a line break in `3-fold'. The latter example tries to give you
an idea of idiosyncratic applications from my own range of interests.
E.g.: `$L$-necessary' from the work of the analytic philosopher
Carnap ("logically necessary"), or things like `3-isotropic'
in my math diploma thesis on certain symmetries in cosmology.
