Using ProText on a Windows machine
How do I get the last line of a multline equation to align with the
other lines, instead of flush right?
e.g. the following produces what I want, except for the last line,
which I would like aligned with the other second lines
begin code
<<<<<<\begin{multline*}
\Sigma_1^2=var(\hat{\pi}_A(1))=\frac{1}{P^2}\\
*(\frac{\hat{\lambda}_1^r(1-\hat{\lambda}_1^r)}{n_1}
+(1-p)^2\pi_{Y_1}(1-\pi_{Y_1}){n_2})\\
\shoveleft{ \Sigma_2^2=var(|hat{pi}A(2)) =\frac{1}{P^2}}\\
*(\frac{\hat{\lambda}_2^r(1-\hat{\lambda}_2^r)}{n_2}
+(1-p)^2\pi_{Y_2}(1-\pi_{Y_2}){n_1})\\
\shoveleft{\Sigma_{12}= cov(\hat{\pi}_a(1), \hat{\pi}_A(2))=}\\
\frac{-(1-p)}{p^2}*
\frac{\hat{\lambda}_1^{rd}-\hat{\lambda}_1^r\pi_{y_2}}{n_1}
{\hat{\lambda}_2^{rd}-\hat{\lambda}_2^r\pi_{y_1}}{n_2}
\end{multline*}

end code
I;m not even quite sure if I should be using multline, or some
combination of gather and split or some other method
TIA as always
Peter
