Your first statement is negative and discouraging in tone. The second
statement is more positive. It would have been better if you had been more
positive from the beginning, rather than only after I had reproached you.

I'm sure the OP is grateful to Norbert for the link to a working example.
And I'm glad that he responded positively to my suggestion in a different
thread.
