biber problem

I was running a vanilla TeXLive 2024 installation on a 15” MacBook Pro with an ARM processor without any problems so far, till this morning biber failed to compile with the following weird message:

Does anybody know what is going on? I really do not know much about biblatex or biber; any help will be greatly appreciated!
