Greek to me

Dear all,

I have two installations of tex-live. One is up to date, one is a few days old.
With the up to date one I have problems when printing greek italic letters into a PDF while using the EB Garamond and LuaLaTex.
I do not have this troubles with the older instance. So how can I find out, what's going wrong.

The LaTeX file is

\usepackage[ngerman]{babel}
\usepackage{fontspec}
\setmainfont{EB Garamond}

No greek letters can be find in the PDF output.
