hmm yes, but you can't expect it to work with an "arbitrary" name even 
if that name seems reasonable :-)

To make it work as

  \setmainfont{Hirwen Harendal's nice Accanthis}

you need to provide a corresponding fontspec file with that "name" as 
you remarked earlier and Accanthis alone is not different it is just a 
name but not the font name unfortunately
